Zada Lau
Hello — I'm Zada.
Buddhist in business. Meditation Teacher. Philanthropist. Investor. Chartered Accountant. Melbourne-based, working internationally.
Looking to connect about business, investment, fundraising?A Quick Introduction
A few different threads.
I worked as an Australian Chartered Accountant at Ernst & Young in Melbourne, then studied Putonghua at Fudan University in Shanghai, and lived and worked internationally — London, Hong Kong, Taipei. I'm a third-generation Tibetan Buddhist; I rediscovered the tradition systematically as an adult, learning under the direction of His Eminence Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche through Tergar's structured path, beginning with the Joy of Living program. I invest in early-stage businesses I believe in. And in 2026 I founded MettaFi, an agency and platform helping Buddhist teachers and organisations bring their work to the people it's meant for.
Working with me means working with a friend on the Path who understands Buddhist culture, subcultures, and the nuances required in promoting or fundraising within.

Causes →My Motivation
Helping the Dharma flourish.
One of the Buddhist teachings I've taken most to heart is the wish for the precious Dharma to arise where it has not arisen, and where it has, to flourish more and more. The fourth of the Four Immeasurables is equanimity — and to me, equanimity means helping Dharma practitioners and organisations with budgets large or small reach the audiences they're meant to reach, regardless of those practitioners' and organisations' own technical ability, location, language, or marketing knowledge.
That's what motivates MettaFi. It's also why this site exists — so people can find me, and connect into the projects I'm involved in so together we can help the Dharma flourish.
